Sunday Worship

Today I got the opportunity to lead worship at church and it was an awesome time. We kicked it a little bit old school. We played I'll fly away, Down in the River, Rock of Ages, and Because of Your Love. They all went pretty well and it seemed as though the congregation enjoyed it as well. I am grateful for the chance to be able to use my talents for the glory of the Lord it is truly a blessing.

Paranormal Activity 2

Last night around about 10:30 t-batts and I decided that we wanted to go see paranormal activity @ at midnight. So we did and we got chancen and a couple other people to go. We had about twenty minutes to make a trip that usually takes about thirty-five. Needless to say with some skill we got there right on time and right before they completely sold out. Before the movie began the girl beside me said, "I guess i should go to the bathroom now so I don't pee on myself during the movie." That was classic. The movie itself was pretty creepy but as much as I was intently watching the movie I was also watching the crowd. Just to see the reactions and faces of some people in the theater is priceless. The movie was pretty scary no joke, and I don't recommend it to those who have a weak mind. I am just glad that I serve a risen Saviour who protects me. One thing that always gets me is where it says in the bible that demons tremble at the name of Jesus Christ. That let's me know my God is above all and controls everything. Overall it was a good night and I enjoyed spending time with some of the people from school. Watch the trailer!

Everlasting Life

It was Your grace that set me free.

You sent Your Son to us,

The only answer to my plea,

He came down to save us.

You gave it as a simple gift,

It’s one that lasts for’er.

And all it takes is just a shift,

It is now or never.

I can’t do this all on my own.

You are here beside me,

To set me straight on the path home.

The place where all are free.

O, Jesus take each part of me.

I give it all to You.

I now know that I can be free,

You died to make me new.

Radical

So I decided to re-read radical by david platt for a few reasons. One we are doing a study on it in the new college bible study on sunday mornings and two I wanted to refresh my memory on the book. So far I have read 40 pages and once again it is kicking my tail. The stories that platt shares never cease to amaze me. While reading this book last night I began to realize once again how wrong almost all christians are in their faith. We continue to worship the American Jesus and not the Jesus that was written about in the Gospel. It's sad. I hope through my second experience of reading this book that my life will be even more radically changed than it was before.

17th

This past weekend was a solid weekend. Friday I went to my High School's football homecoming in which they crushed the opponent. Saturday I went out to a rest area and gave out free coffee while sharing the gospel. It was a great opportunity to share the love of Christ with those who are always on the road. That night I was the sound guy for a group named Glendalough in which I got to see my girlfriend sing as well as receive an incredible meal at the crown plaza. That night I got to babysit one of my most favorite kids Aidan. We danced made tattoos and many other things it was a great time. Sunday morning came and I got the chance to do one song in the service, I chose In Christ Alone and I must say it went pretty well. All the glory to God for a great weekend!
